Caregivers have the hardest job in the world. No one truly knows what it means to be a full time caregiver for a person with dementia or Alzheimer’s. Not until you are in the middle of it and you feel like you are lost in frustration and exhaustion.
If you don’t know where to turn, you have reached the right place. I understand your feelings because I’ve been where you are now. My mother had Alzheimer’s and I cared for her, without help. I never knew what would happen from day to day. I have lived with the anxiety, the fear and the chaos you feel. I can help.
During my 22 years serving elders and their families, I have helped many thousands of caregivers increase their peace of mind and learn to cope with the joys, challenges and heartbreak associated with dementia and aging.
We have all been down the same road that you now travel. My expertise comes from years of personal and professional experience, and I know how to help you find a safe route through the confusion and uncertainty.
I will help you build your own pathway – from understanding and assessing care needs and the different options open to you, through creating and managing your own care plan. I’ll guide you around the roadblocks of the medical and social care systems, help you conserve your strength, energy and care costs, and help you preserve your quality of life..
Finding the right care is never easy, and there is no map. Learning from others’ hard-earned experiences, and then finding and getting the help you need will boost your own inner strength.
Caregiving can be a lonely job, but you do not have to make this journey alone. I am here with you. I want to help you get on the right road, and to stay on track. Welcome.
